Lauren & Christopher Grimes

Lauren Filbert and Christopher Grimes were married May 22, 2010, at The Interlaken Inn in Lakeville, Conn.

The bride is the daughter of Dr Bryson M. Filbert, Jr, of Cheshire and Carolyn Filbert of Southbury.

For her wedding day, Lauren wore a long ivory silk and lace dress, and carried white peonies and roses. She was given into marriage by her father.

The bridegroom is the son of Jeanne Butler of South Burlington, Vt., and Rod Grimes of South Hero, Vt.

Bridesmaids were Alexandria Filbert, Anabelle Filbert, Krista Lehmann, and Amy and Heather Grimes. The flower girl was Elena Filbert.

Ushers were Bryson M. Filbert III, Oliver Forsht, and Derik Papin. The ring bearer was Austin Amos.

Lauren Grimes graduated from Newtown High School, the University of Vermont, and the University of Pittsburgh with a master’s in genetic counseling. She is a genetic counselor at EVMS Hospital in Norfolk, Va.

Christopher Grimes graduated from South Burlington High School, and later the University of Vermont with a degree in small business management. He is a sales manager with ADP.

Following a cruise in the Caribbean, the Grimeses have returned to their home in Portsmouth, Va.
