Adath Israel Planning A Major Craft Event
Adath Israel Planning A Major Craft Event
âIt will be a great day when our schools have all the money they need for books and teachers and the military has to hold a bake sale to pay for one of its planes,â reads a popular bumper sticker. The same theory could be applied to many churches, which rely on countless bake sales, arts and crafts shows and sales, and dinners to raise money for their basic needs.
Congregational Adath Israel of Newtown is about to take on a major renovation for its temple at 111 Huntingtown Road. The temple has received approval to build a new temple on its property, and fundraising towards that effort continues.
âA Winter Wonderland of Gifts â Holiday Craft Fairâ will be presented on Sunday, November 21, at Edmond Town Hall. The arts and crafts show and sale is a fundraising event for Congregational Adath Israel.
The event will run from 10 am until 3 pm in the town hallâs gymnasium. Entry is from the buildingâs lower parking lot, at 45 Main Street (Route 25).
Admission is $1 per person.
The fair will feature jewelry, ornaments, flowers, chocolates, woodworking, pottery, baked goods and more. Thirty-three crafters will fill 38 booths at the show.
Congregational Adath Israel will have a booth with information on its history and its plans for the future. Members will host raffles, and there will be a sale of Adath Israel cookbooks â along with samples of many of the recipes within the cookbook.
The i-95 (WRKI-FM) Street Team Prize Van will also be at the town hall, from 10 am until 1 pm.
All are welcome. For additional information call 268-1342.
