With Richard Ochs
Richard Ochs of Newburg, N.Y., will return to Newtown to offer a watercolor demonstration during the next Society of Creative Arts of Newtown meeting, on Wednesday, November 14, at 7:30 pm. The meeting is open to the public and will be held at Newtown Meeting House (lower level), at 31 Main Street in Newtown. Admission is free.
Mr Ochs is well known for his impressionistic approach to New England landscape, giving the viewer the feeling that they have just happened on the scene. He is a favorite with SCAN members.
(A follow-up watercolor workshop is planned for November 17 with Mr Ochs. It is not necessary to be a SCAN member to sign up for this workshop, or to attend any of the clubâs regular meetings.)
Mr Ochs is a John Pike student. His works are represented in collections up and down the eastern seacoast, from Connecticut to Florida. He is a member of 11 artist organizations including the Salmagundi Club, North East Watercolor Society and the Society of Marine Artists.
