Master Chorale Holiday Prelude

BETHEL — The Connecticut Master Chorale, under the direction of Tina Johns Heidrich, will open the holiday season with “Holiday Prelude Concert” on Sunday, November 18, at 3 pm. The concert will be at St Mary’s Church, on Route 302.

The CT Master Chorale Orchestra and pianist Joseph Jacovino will accompany the 55-voice chorus.

The program will feature rousing holiday selections such as Hodie! (This Day), an exuberant three-movement cantata by Randall Stroope; music from Empire of the Sun by John Williams, “What Sweet Music” by John Rutter, “How Can I Keep From Singing,” “The Virgin Mary Had A Baby Boy,” and a new arrangement of “Go Tell It On The Mountain,” plus Kwanzaa and Hanukkah selections.

Tickets are $12 if purchased or reserved in advance, or $15 at the door.
