Helen Triacca

Helen (Almeida) Triacca, 61, of Nelson Lane, Newtown, died November 2 at her home.

Born in Danbury April 8, 1938, she was a daughter of Antonio Almeida of Danbury and the late Maria (Martins) Almeida.

A graduate of Danbury High School, she worked as a travel agent for ten years at the former Sunshine and World Class Travel agencies of Danbury.

Ms Triacca was a resident of Newtown since 1969.  She was a member of St Paul’s Episcopal Church in Brookfield and of the Newtown Singles Club.

Besides her father, she is survived by two sons, Alan Triacca of Newtown and James Triacca of New Fairfield; a daughter, Lynne Fossum of Bethel; a sister, Laurie Moyer of Bethel; her beloved companion, Jerry Sperry of Brookfield; three grandchildren, Rachel, Jessica and Katherine Fossum; and two nieces.

Funeral Services will be held at St Paul’s Episcopal Church, Brookfield, on Saturday, November 6, at 11 am, with the Rev George Crocker officiating.

Burial services will be held privately.

Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, on Friday, November 5, from 5 to 8 pm.
