On Thursday, October 19, the St Rose first grade Brownie Troop 596 met for their first meeting of the year. In honor of the Girl Scout’s founder’s birthday, the Brownies prepared birthday cards for residents of Ashlar who celebrated a birthday in October.

Brownie Troop 891, comprised of third graders at Hawley School, visited Castle Hill Farm on October 25 and were treated to s’mores cooked over a campfire, a hayride and a walk through the corn maze. “As always, the Paproskis went out of their way to show the girls a great time!” said troop Leader Lisa Pruner.

Girl Scout Troops in Newtown are members of Girl Scout Council of Southwestern Connecticut.
