Apply Now For WHIP Grants
Torrington â A Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program, WHIP, is a cost-share program that will reimburse participants up to 75 percent of costs for planned conservation practices. Eligible practices in Connecticut habitats may include hydrology restoration, stream rehabilitation, wetlands restoration, delayed mowing or brush hogging, invasive plant control, tree and shrub planting, removal of barriers to fish passage, establishing riparian buffers, or other eligible conservation practices for the purpose of benefiting wildlife. Eligible lands include privately owned land, and state and municipal land.
The United States Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Conservation Service, NRCS, is accepting applications through November 30.
