Dinner Honors VFW Officers
STONINGTON â The Connecticut Department of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) of the United States held a testimonial dinner at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville recently to honor Benjamin T. Lord, state commander, VFW Post 5095, and Janice M. Wiltshire, state president, VFW Post 9617.
Among the those attending were former Connecticut Gov William OâNeill; Joyce Marshall, National Council Member-Ladies Auxiliary; Ronald Rusakiewicz, National Council Member-VFW; Ronald E. Wallace, deputy executive director of the Washington office; Michael Montecalvo, captain of the State Color Guard; master of ceremonies, William Woodbury, state senior vice commander; and mistress of ceremonies Irene Kennedy, the state senior vice president; members of the families of the honorees, as well as many members of VFW posts and auxiliaries in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.
