It is with great sadness that we share the news of our son, brother, uncle and friend, Daniel Christopher Garvin’s passing.

Dan died suddenly on August 4 in Bridgeport.

Dan’s kind and gentle soul will be dearly missed. His mother, Gloria Garvin, still calls Newtown home after 45 years.

Dan was the youngest of six children, grew up in Newtown, was a graduate of Hofstra University, and lived his adult years in and around Black Rock.

Dan’s gentle demeanor, kind smile and loving spirit will certainly be missed. His death gives all who knew and loved him much pain and grief. All prayers and condolences are very much appreciated.

A private family memorial will take place in lieu of a public burial service.
