Occupation: I’m currently doing network marketing in the health and wellness industry. When I first started, I was in the skincare industry, then, just about five months ago, I started health and wellness. The company I’m with, Vasayo, is a little over a year old and had 49 million dollars in sales the first year. They’re all-natural supplements. We have products for joint health, weight management, sleep, energy, etc. My trade is interior design. I did that for 20 years. I used to be the director of interior design for a hotel developer in Boston before we moved to Newtown. One of my biggest projects was working with Robert Kraft, who owns the [New England] Patriots, and I did a hotel that is part of the Gillette Stadium complex.

Family: I have two boys; Blake is 10 and in fifth grade, and Brent is 8, in third grade. They both love soccer, and Blake is on travel baseball. My husband, Chris, is originally from Connecticut and grew up in Guilford. I’m originally from Boston. We met in college at the University of Hartford.

Pets: Charlotte is our 3-year-old beagle. She’s teeny tiny — everyone thinks she’s a puppy. She’s the one girl I finally had.

How long have you lived in Newtown? For six years. My husband’s job brought us here. He works in Stamford and got a promotion, so I ended up commuting back-and-forth up to Boston and would go up on a Sunday night then come home on a Friday. It became too much. After a year and a half, I quit and started doing network marketing so I could be home with the boys.

What do you like to do in your free time? I like to shop, walk the dog, and draw. I went to art school, and I did a giant abstract painting in my living room that I love.

Do you have a favorite book? I’m currently reading Rachel Hollis’ book Girl, Wash Your Face. It’s a good book about getting over yourself.

What is your favorite travel destination? Aruba. We went for our honeymoon and went back every year after that until the year I got pregnant.

What is the best part about Newtown? The people. You always bump into 15 people you know in the grocery store, and everybody is friendly. I love this town.

Who has been the greatest influence in your life? My mom, Diane. She is an amazing woman. She was diagnosed with diabetes right before I got married; six years ago, she had a heart attack; she has five stents in her heart; and she had her carotid arteries done six months later. She is a 5-foot-2inch Italian spitfire who I absolutely adore. She’s done a lot for me and my sister. She’s always supported me, and she loves my boys.

If you could spend the day with one person, who would you choose and why? My grandparents on my mother’s side. My grandmother died the day of my wedding shower — 16 years ago — and my grandfather died two years later. I miss them a lot.

Who is your favorite musical artist? I love Dave Matthews and Jason Mraz. I also love ZZ Ward. She’s very soulful, like a female Dave Matthews in a way. We saw her down in Fairfield, and she’s amazing.

Do you have a favorite TV show? Ozark on Netflix, with Jason Bateman. We binge-watched two seasons of it in two days.

What is the greatest piece of advice you have ever been given? “Always be yourself. If you’re not, people will read right through you.” Also, “Stop caring what everyone else thinks.”

What is something you cannot live without? My kids and ice cream. Mint chocolate chip to be exact.

What is your proudest accomplishment? Becoming a mom, as cheesy as that may sound. Being able to give birth and raise your kids to be who they are — kind, respectful kids — is my biggest accomplishment.
