Shabbat Service To Be Dedicated To Pittsburgh Synagogue Shooting Victims
Congregation Adath Israel will dedicate its Shabbat service on Saturday, November 3, to the memory of the 11 people who were victims of the October 27 shooting at Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, Penn.
Area residents are invited to join the service of prayer and healing as Congregation Adath Israel mourns the horrific deaths together. By doing so, the members of the Newtown synagogue will show their solidarity with the Squirrel Hill community and Tree of Life congregants while remembering the victims and supporting each other.
Participants on Saturday will stand together to recite the Mourner’s Kaddish and recite the names of the deceased. The service will begin at 9:30 am and will be followed by a Kiddush Oneg, where light refreshments will be served.
Congregation Adath Israel is at 115 Huntingtown Road in Newtown. For additional information visit [naviga:u]congadathisrael.org[/naviga:u].
