What Will Spring’s Prom Highlights Be?

The Newtown Junior Women’s Club, in collaboration with Sabrina Style and Newtown High School students, will present a 2013 Prom Gown Preview Fashion Show next month. The charity fundraiser will be held on Sunday, December 2, at 3 pm, in the cafetorium in the new addition at Newtown High School.

Tickets are $15 per person, and doors will open at 2:15 pm.

The fashion show will offer a preview of new 2013 prom gowns, as well as ladies eveningwear, provided by Sabrina Style. Hair and makeup for the models will be done exclusively by Adam Broderick Salon & Spa, and professional photography provided by Heather Ellicott Photography. Guests will enjoy complimentary refreshments and raffle prizes.

A number of merchants participating in the fashion show will be offering additional discounts at prom time with fashion show ticket. These include Avancé Esthétiques, Faces by Sharon Cohen, Heather Ellicott Photography, Nails & Beyond, Newtown Nail Spa, Sabrina Style, Spa Mianra.

Merchants participating in the fashion show include Adam Broderick Salon & Spa, Airbrush Tanning by Kathleen, Always Wendy’s, Bead of Roses, Hero Barbering, Kamala Spa Salon, Newtown Florist, Ricci’s Salon, Robert Anthony’s, Salon Michele, Sandy Hook Hair Co., Shear Image, Purseabilities by Nancy Belanger, and The Inspired Body.

Thirteen models have been enlisted to participate in the event. They are Brittany Boggs, Cailah Carroll, Becky Clarke, Katy Caulfield, Christian DelRossi, Sabrina Elhag, Elaine Feola, Anna Grillo, Ashlee Honiker, Julia LeBlanc, Demi Martens, Kelsey Packer, and Jane Sclafani. At least two emcees will narrate the show, with plans to discuss trends and styles while dresses are being modeled.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at Sabrina Style, 4 Washington Avenue; and C.H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street.

Proceeds from the fashion show will benefit Newtown High School and local community projects supported by Newtown Junior Women’s Club.
