Traffic Stop
Police report that they stopped motorist Laura Rothenhausen, 45, of 1 Papoose Hill Road about 1:36 am on October 20 near 228 South Main Street because the vehicle that she was driving had an inoperative headlamp.
Police said they charged Rothenhausen with driving with an inoperative headlamp and with driving with a suspended license.
Rothenhausen was released on a written promise to appear in Danbury Superior Court on November 1, police said.
Police Vehicle
Police report a two-vehicle accident involving a police SUV and a truck about 2:37 pm on October 23 On Sugar Street, near Elm Drive.
Police Officer Steve Ketchum, 45, who was driving a 2004 Ford Explorer police SUV westward on Sugar Street, was waiting for traffic to clear so that he could make a left turn onto southbound Elm Drive, police said.
Westbound motorist Joaquim Santos, 58, of Danbury, who was driving a 1999 Ford truck, then struck the rear end of the SUV, police said.
Ketchum reported pain and was treated and released by a town-approved doctor, police said. Santos received an infraction for defective equipment, police said.
Queen Street
Police report that while on patrol about 10:36 pm on October 24, they spotted motorist Anthony Kegyes, 21, of Watertown, who was driving southward on Queen Street, fail to stop at a stop sign at its intersection with Mile Hill Road, so they stopped him to investigate.
Police said that they charged Kegyes with failure to obey a stop sign and with driving with a suspended license.
Kegyes was released on a written promise to appear in court on November 7, police said.
Church Hill Crash
Motorist Beth Piekarski, 50, of North Andover, Mass., who was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt sedan about 6:07 pm on October 22, stopped on westbound Church Hill Road in preparing to turn left into the Blue Colony Diner parking lot, police said.
At that time, motorist Andrea Murray, 38, of Oxford was driving a 2007 Suzuki SX-4 SUV eastward on Church Hill Road, police report.
The unidentified driver of an eastbound noncontact vehicle stopped and waved to have the Chevrolet make the left turn, according to police.
The Chevrolet then attempted the turn, but collided with the Suzuki, according to police. There were no injuries. Piekarski received a written warning for failure to grant the right of way, police said.
Kia Vs Subaru
Police report that while southbound motorist Devin Gleeson, 35, of Trumbull, who was driving a 2011 Subaru Impreza sedan, was waiting at a traffic signal near 228 South Main Street at about 7:26 pm on October 23, the Subaru was struck from behind by southbound motorist Laszlo Karacsony, 31, of Woodbridge, who was driving a 2008 Kia Sentra sedan.
There were no injuries. Karacsony received an infraction for traveling too fast for conditions and for driving without a license, police said.
Moving Violations
Police report that at about 7:42 am on October 28, they spotted motorist Elyse Clark 43, of 4 Glenmor Drive using a handheld cellphone while driving on South Main Street, near Elizabeth Street, so they stopped her to investigate.
Police said they charged Clark with illegal use of a handheld cellphone while driving, driving with a suspended license, and driving an unregistered vehicle.
Police said they released Clark on a written promise to appear in court on November 5.
BMW Vs Deer
Motorist Kenneth Blau, 70, of 20 Old Tavern Road was driving a 2008 BMW 535-XI sedan on Ashford Lane about 7:52 pm on October 25, when a deer ran onto the road and collided with the auto, police said. Blau was not injured. Police took no enforcement.
Intersection Collision
A two-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of Berkshire Road and Toddy Hill Road about 4:57 am on October 25.
Motorist Adam Pratt, 25, of 22 Glen Road was driving a 1997 Chevrolet K-1500 pickup truck on Berkshire and then attempted to turn onto Toddy Hill Road, police said.
Police said Pratt told them that another motorist cut him off while he was attempting to make the turn, after which the Chevrolet landed in a ditch alongside the right road shoulder.
Pratt was not injured. Police said they issued him an infraction for a turning violation.
South Main Collision
Police said that they responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident near 40 South Main Street about 5:12 pm on October 19.
Both vehicles in the incident were traveling southward. Police said the collision involved motorist Andrew Hall, 47, of Tuxedo, N.Y., who was driving a 2009 Toyota Camry sedan, and motorist Gennaro Grimaldi, 51, of 180 Brushy Hill Road, who was driving a 2008 Hummer SUV.
There were no injuries. Police said they issued Hall an infraction for two motor vehicle violations.
Sedan Vs SUV
 Motorist Katherine Boisvert, 34, of 4 Shamrock Lane, who was driving a 1999 GMC SUV eastward near 34 Church Hill Road about 3:06 pm on October 23, stopped for traffic conditions, according to police.
Eastbound motorist Kenneth Condon, 17, of 19 Farm Field Ridge Road, who was driving a 1996 Nissan Altima sedan, then attempted to stop but slid into the rear end of the GMC, police said.
Condon was treated at the scene for a minor arm injury, police said. Police said they issued Condon a written warning for following too closely. Police said they gave Boisvert a misdemeanor summons for driving with a suspended license.
Drug Arrest
Police said they made a motor vehicle stop about 12:37 am on October 29 on Hawleyville Road near Covered Bridge Road in which they pulled over motorist Joshua Delle Donne, 19, of Pelham, N.Y., to investigate.
Police said they charged him with failure to obey a stop sign, possession of a hallucinogenic drug, possession of more than one-half ounce of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police released Delle Donne on $1,000 bail for a November 13 court appearance.
Burglary
Police said they are investigating a burglary that occurred at Dunkinâ Donuts at Newtown Shopping Village at 6 Queen Street sometime between 10 pm on Monday, October 29, and 2 am on Tuesday, October 30. Police ask anyone with knowledge of the crime to contact them at 203-426-5841.
Pickup Vs SUV
Police report that motorist Steven Jaroszewski, 56, of 318 Great Quarter Road was driving a 2005 Toyota Tundra pickup truck southward on South Main Street and was attempting to turn left onto eastbound Mile Hill Road at about 10:37 am on October 20, as motorist Elizabeth Kelly, 56, of Homestead Florida, was driving a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV northward on South Main Street.
The two vehicles collided. There were no injuries. Police said they verbally warned Jaroszewski for making a restricted turn.
