Ready To Serve

To the Editor:

Tuesday, November 6, is Election Day. Please take the time to vote, and, when you do, consider the important role your decision will play in helping us reverse the effects of the recent economic downturn. It’s time to get moving in a growing direction again and put behind us the current “tax, spend and tax some more” policies of our state government.

My plan is to go to Hartford and work collaboratively to implement creative solutions to boost state revenues without new taxes. By getting state government out of the way of economic growth, a program of tax incentives and a more business friendly approach to attracting the kinds of jobs that will permanently sustain our state, I will promote prosperity for all citizens. Prosperity brings the revenue needed to fund quality education, infrastructure, services for our seniors and better living.

From the beginning, I have run the Mitch for Newtown campaign in a positive way and offered real solutions to placing Newtown, Connecticut, and America back on solid fiscal footing by offering plans to create 21st Century jobs, and get Connecticut and Newtown growing again. Our message to every Newtown voter has not wavered and remains one of optimism, great constituent service and dedication to the rebuilding of Connecticut — to the benefit of Newtown.

As you stand to vote, consider the importance of experience. My commitment to this community and service to its families and institutions for more than 12 years is an indicator that you can expect a lot from me. Consider my real working experience in Newtown’s public affairs and with our team of state legislators: Senator John McKinney and Representatives DebraLee Hovey and Dan Carter.

On Tuesday, November 6, I ask for your vote. Let me work to make things “Nicer in Newtown” for you, your family, and the businesses that all call this wonderful place “home.” I’ll be honored to represent you with integrity and dedication to Newtown in Hartford.

Lastly, because your vote is so important, if getting to your polling place is a problem and you were unable to vote absentee or arrange reliable transportation, please call my cellphone, 203-470-2728, and one of our friendly volunteers will help you get there.

Respectfully,

Mitch Bolinsky
