Teach the children well, they are our future. Newtown is a great town with so many concerned citizens looking out for the best interest of the future of Newtown. One of those amazing citizens is Julie Luby. It is Mrs Lubyâs goal to focus the work of our school administrators on improving the quality of the teaching and learning for every student every day. It is also her goal to be a Board of Education member who focuses on leveraging the existing resources for the improvement of instruction and curriculum in the Newtown Public Schools.
I have known Julie Luby in a variety of capacities for many years. She was the principal of Johnson School in Bethel, before becoming the English Department chair for Pomperaug High School. I know her as a neighbor and a fellow mother. Our daily bus stop talks make me take great pride in recommending her for a member of the Board of Education team. Julie is organized, efficient, extremely competent, and has an excellent rapport with people of all ages. She has great communication skills with students as well as adults. Julie has an understanding of what is needed as a member of the Board of Education team. She is capable of seeing what is needed and what is in the best interest of the children of Newtown. Her experience in the school system, her role as the mother of three, and her strong integrity make her an excellent choice for Board of Education. Vote Julie Luby for Board of Education on November 6.
