To the Editor:
The Newtown Board of Education deserves the motivated leader that Donna A. Monteleone will provide if she is elected on November 6. I have seen, firsthand, Donnaâs leadership qualities during her foreign assignment in Prague, Czech Republic. While living in Prague, Donna held many influential positions at the International School of Prague. At a school where families come from all over the world, Donna embodied the hardworking, charitable qualities that all Americans strive for. One of her greatest assets to the school was her ability to bring the many cultural diversities together to work for the common good. One example of this is the Tsunami Relief benefit that Donna quickly and efficiently organized after the December 2004 disaster. This successful fundraiser was an exemplary effort by Donna. Her genuine concern for those affected by the Tsunami and her ability to organize this benefit made all her fellow Americans proud to have her as a leader.
As a Board of Education member, her passion to do the right thing in an organized and financially sound manner can only benefit the schools of Newtown for years to come.
Please remember to âwrite inâ Donna A Monteleone for the two-year-seat on the Board of Education.
Sincerely,
Allyson Schillinger
