To the Editor:

If you live in District 2, I am writing to ask you to support Joe Hemingway for Legislative Council. I have known Joe for 16 years, first meeting him at Sandy Hook Elementary school PTA and working with him on many PTA issues, supporting him in his role as PTA Council president, a leader for SOS (Support our Schools — an early grassroots organization to help educate people on the budget), as well as having attended many Legislative Council meetings where Joe has previously served for four years. Most recently Joe sits on the Charter Revision Committee.

 Joe will work to ensure that future growth is responsible and controlled. He offers leadership based on professionalism and integrity. Joe wants a town government that listens to and carries out the wishes of our residents; someone that thinks before he speaks and acts; someone that will put the public’s interest first. Joe will make sure that all tax proposals are subject to the democratic process in its widest possible context. He wants the public to have a say since it’s their money.

Joe Hemingway is a proven advocate for open and honest government; a candidate that we know will stand up for us residents.
