John Paloian Sr
John Paloian, Sr, 82, of Bristol, Tenn., died October 31, after a long illness. He was born in Boston, Mass., September 30, 1936. Following the death of his parents when he was 7 years old, he moved to Norwalk to live with his aunt and uncle, his adoptive parents.
His wife of 62 years, Joyce; sons, Archie of Sandy Hook, John Jr of Bristol, Tenn., and Mark and his wife, Maureen, of Costa Mesa, Calif.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren survive him.
A son, Thomas Paloian, Sr, and two brothers predeceased him.
Mr Paloian was a butcher his entire life, learning the trade from his uncle. He was the owner of John’s Quality Meats & Deli for 30 years, and he also owned J&J Cheesecake in Newtown.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed cooking for their functions.
Services will be conducted in Tennessee.
