Representative Jahana Hayes is campaigning as an incumbent Democratic Candidate for US House of Representatives, 5th Congressional District. Her voting record and her commitment to her constituents speaks volumes.

Representative Hayes voted for the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, Ethan’s Law, a safe storage measure for firearms on a federal level, bans assault weapons, and expands/improves background checks for all firearm sales to address loopholes.

According to her website, last year, for Newtown, Rep Hayes was responsible for over $6.1 million awarded in federal grants, 33 constituent cases closed and responded to almost five thousand constituent’s correspondence. Her website includes that the top issues raised last year by Newtown constituents were Social Security and Gun Violence Prevention. Representative Hayes also supports forgiveness of federal student loan debt and increased public education funding.

Representative Hayes has proven to be worthy of our support again, to represent us in the US Capitol. Vote for Jahana Hayes on or before November 5th.
