Understanding Breast Reconstruction

WASHINGTON — Marilyn Snyder’s discussion of her book An Informed Decision: Understanding Breast Reconstruction will conclude the 2000 fall Writer’s Series at Gunn Memorial Library. The talk will be held at 5 pm on Saturday, November 11, at the library on the corner of Route 47 and Wykeham Road on the Washington Green.

Ms Snyder is a member of New Milford Hospital Foundation Board and of the advisory council of Women at Risk, the breast cancer arm of the New York-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City. She has made numerous guest speaking engagements and has been a panel member on cancer-related issues.

Under her professional name, Maggie Burke, she has also worked on and off Broadway, in television, film, and regional theatre since 1970. Her favorite roles include Miss Daisy (Driving Miss Daisy) and Boo Levy (The Last Night of Ballyhoo). Her television appearances include multiple guest-starring roles on Law & Order. She also played the role of Dr Audrey Samuels on As The World Turns for 10 years. Her film credits include Six Degrees of Separation, Husband & Wives, and Lemon Sisters.
