To the Editor:

Paul Lundquist has my full and unwavering support for Legislative Council, District 1. Paul was one of the first people that I met when I moved to Newtown in 2004. Since then, Paul has proven himself as reasonable and rational, the type of person that you turn to when times are tough. Paul cares deeply for his community and understands that too many important decisions are left to too few people. Paul can often be found soliciting input to ensure that he fairly represents his community and makes decisions deeply rooted in data with a clear rationale to frame the outcome. He prides himself on understanding all viewpoints and synthesizing facts and identifying commonalities of opinion across diverse perspectives.

Issues of importance to Paul are road maintenance, education, and public safety. Paul engages in these complex issues in a fiscally responsible manner, keeping a close eye on the bottom line. Those that have first hand knowledge of the type of leader that Paul has been during his past four consecutive terms serving on the Legislative Council understand that Paul is a humble leader. He understands that more is to be gained from listening rather than talking and takes input from his community to heart.
