Doris (Fazekas) Norton, 83, of Monroe, beloved wife of 48 years to the late Joseph J. Norton, died peacefully October 29. Born in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Lecza Fazekas.

Survivors include her children, Karen Lewis, and husband John, of Sandy Hook, Warren Carlson of Long Island, N.Y., Joseph Norton, and wife Yola, of Shelton, and Lane Carlson of Seymour; nine grandchildren, Warren John, Sarah Lane, Anna, Laura, Dane, Ehren, Matthew, Alex, and Leah; five great-grandchildren; brothers Michael Fazekas of Bridgeport and Robert Fazekas of Naugatuck; a sister, Janice Arszyla of Bridgeport; and several nieces and nephews.

A resident of Monroe for more than 50 years, Mrs Norton was a retired inspector for Vitramon, where she worked for more than 25 years and was a member of its Quarter Century Club.

Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, October 31, at 11 am, in St Joseph’s Church, Shelton, followed by interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Calling hours will take place Friday, October 30, from 6 to 8 pm, in the Commerce Hill Funeral Home, 4798 Main Street, Bridgeport.
