Working Women's Forum To Host Unity Project Founder
The Working Women’s Forum, an association of local professionals and entrepreneurs, will feature Dr John Woodall and his program “You’re Stronger Than You Might Think” on Wednesday, November 12, at The Villa Restaurant, 4 Riverside Road.
Networking and dinner begin at 6 pm followed by the talk.
Dr Woodall plans to discuss how to strengthen skills individuals already have by learning from the very best scientific research and the secret skills used by the most resilient people.
Gleaned from decades of study while conducting The Resilient Responses to Social Crisis Working Group at Harvard University and other programs around the world, Dr Woodall plans to share what he has learned with attendees on November 12.
Dr Woodall, formerly of the faculty of Harvard Medical School, is a board certified psychiatrist with a special expertise in posttraumatic stress disorder and resilience. Since 12/14, he has launched The Unity Project at Newtown High School, 21st Century Conversation, resilience-building workshops for parents and children, and PeaceBuilders for younger children.
For reservations e-mail register at rsvp@workingwomensforum.net or call WWF President Patricia Marlin at 203-426-7022.
The program and dinner fee is $25 (10 for members), a cash bar.
The group will also gratefully accept canned food, personal health and beauty items for donation to FAITH Food Pantry.
