To the Editor:

On November 5th, the residents of Newtown will be casting their ballot for the municipal election.  As a candidate for town clerk, I have the experience and certification needed to perform the duties and responsibilities of this very important position.

I have lived in Newtown for over 20 years, raised two sons who attended Newtown schools, and have been involved in a wide range of activities.

Why should you vote for me?  I have a very good work ethic and my record indicates my ability to complete tasks with attention to detail and in a timely manner.  I will offer more services to the taxpayers such as early/late office hours; hunting/fishing licenses; notary services at no charge; and training for realtors using the land records system.  I can assure you that I will take this position seriously and make sure that Newtown’s valuable records are kept safe.

As a candidate in the upcoming election, I have the motivation, dedication and integrity necessary to make a difference in the town clerk’s office.  Serving the community is a privilege to me and I would be honored to have your vote on November 5th.
