TÜVRheinland Names New COO

Newtown-based TÜVRheinland has promoted its East Coast Regional Manager Rick Patterson to the position of chief operating officer. In his new role, Mr Patterson will manage all operations for TÜV Rheinland of North America, Inc from the company’s headquarters in Newtown.

TÜVRheinland delivers premier independent testing, assessment, and certification services to help companies gain access into global markets. Boasting an international network across six continents, the company’s in-country experts ease the path to compliance with cost-effective pricing and quick turnaround times.

A veteran of regulatory and global compliance, Mr Patterson has spent six years in various management positions at the company’s Boxborough, Mass., office. In 2003, he began working with TÜVRheinland as the regional sales manager for the Mid-Atlantic states.

Three years later, he was promoted to regional manager for the Northeast and in 2008 took on the role of East Coast regional manager. Mr Patterson’s expertise with sales and business negotiations was instrumental in forging relationships with several Tier I companies, according to a campana release.

During his time at the company, Mr Patterson has made several major contributions to the company’s growing operations. He played a key role in TÜVRheinland’s expansion of its Northeastern operations.

Additionally, he helped further refine the company’s internal processes to increase efficiency, delivery, and quality of its services to better serve its client base.
