Fairfield Annual Membership Meeting Set

FAIRFIELD — NAMI Fairfield will hold its 11th Annual Membership Meeting and First Wednesday of the Month Speaker Meeting Wednesday, November 4.

NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Its goals are to support those living with mental illness and their loved ones, to provide educational programs to the community that foster understanding and healthy living, and to provide advocacy.

Attorney James Funnell will talk about special needs trusts and estate planning for family members with disabilities. This is an important meeting for those parents, grandparents, siblings, or spouses who have wondered how their loved one will be taken care of when their primary caregiver is no longer able.

This will be helpful for family members of loved ones with a developmental disability, mental illness, traumatic brain injuries, cerebral palsy, visual impairments, or any other disability. New board members will also be voted in by the general membership.

The meeting will be held in Eliot Room (library) of First Church Congregational, 148 Beach Road, from 7:30 to 9 pm. It is free of charge and open to all. Light refreshments will be served. For more information call 203-650-3463
