Pressmar

Dearly Loved Husband, Father & Grandfather

James H. Pressmar, 60, of Ancram, N.Y., formerly of Middlebury, died October 22. He was born in New Rochelle, N.Y., on February 20, 1949, a son of Edna (Langeloh) and Edward Pressmar of Newtown.

He was a graduate of Newtown High School. Mr Pressmar served in the US Navy aboard the USS Enterprise in Vietnam from 1968 to 1972.  He was a plumber for 30 years, and a member of Danbury Rod & Reel.

Mr Pressmar was the loving husband to Antoinette (Licciardi) Pressmar; devoted father of three children and their significant others, James, Kimberly, and Melissa; and the proud grandfather of one grandson. Survivors also include his mother, a resident of Nunnawauk Meadows; four siblings; and several nieces and nephews. 

He was a nature lover who enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking, hunting, and boating. He was a hardworking father and husband and provided for his family, whom he loved dearly.

Calling hours were scheduled for Thursday, October 29, from 4 to 7 pm, at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street in Newtown.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, PO Box 1748, Hartford CT 06144-1748, or the American Heart Association, 1 Union Street, Suite 301, Robbinsville NJ 08691-4183.
