Gloria L. McCoy

Gloria L. McCoy, 84, wife of the late Walter F. McCoy of Nunnawauk Meadows, Newtown, died October 26 in Mediplex of Southbury.

She was born in New York City, May 12, 1916, daughter of the late James and Loretta (Reardon) Lee. She was a resident of the Bronx most of her life. She was last employed as a PBX operator for a communications company in New York City. She has been a resident of Newtown the past five years.

She is survived by three sons, John McCoy of Matawan, N.J., Walter McCoy of Westtown, N.Y., and Michael McCoy of Garrison, N.Y.; one daughter, Elinor Dreher and her husband Junior Dreher of Sandy Hook; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held October 31 from the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, and at St Rose of Lima Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment was in St Rose Cemetery.
