To the Editor:

It is with great honor I endorse Mitch Bolinsky, JP Sredzinski, and Dan Carter for Newtown’s Representatives to the 106th, 112th, and 2nd Districts of the General Assembly and Tony Hwang for reelection to the 28th State Senate District.

Mitch has made constituent service the hallmark of his tenure. JP makes sure our first responders have the sympathetic voice in Hartford they deserve. Dan is a voice of reason and puts the needs of Newtowners before politics in the state house. Finally Tony compassionately and empathetically serves Newtown like it is his second home; I see him around town so much, it makes me wonder.

I’ve known all four men for almost as long as I’ve lived in Newtown. I know their work ethic and their voting records. They forward bipartisan legislation that is often codified into law. More importantly, they can be relied upon to put the brakes on much of the least desirable bills emanating from the governor’s office or legislative committees such as tax increases, tolls, and job stifling excess regulation.

All four have proven records of leadership — this year we need them more than ever. Please vote for Mitch, JP, or Dan for your state representative and let’s all return Tony to the state senate next Tuesday, November 3rd.
