To the Editor:

I have known Jen [Aguilar] for over eight years, primarily through community driven activities. Whether it be through the PTO or through a community event, Jen is always there leading an effort or lending a hand.  As PTO President for Fawn Hollow, Jen drove improving the options that our teachers and children have with technology and overall educational tools which allowed  her predecessors to “pick up the torch” and continue that drive.  Jen is not one to step down in a cause that she believes in. She is a compassionate person who can discuss topics, even uncomfortable topics , in a diplomatic way so that others listen.

I am thrilled to see Jen run for state representative.  It will be wonderful to see someone with a can do attitude drive the change we need for our children, our community, our State.  Jen has amazing ideas for everyone - the young, the old, those single, married, and those with young families and those who are grown.  Jen is about community and that means everyone!  She is approachable and is always available to listen and hear your thoughts, concerns, ideas.  This is not a trait that is found in many people, let alone politicians,  and one that we need to start to see more of!

If someone asked why I am voting for Jen I could rattle off a number of reasons why, but I believe in what Jen can do and know that she will do everything in her power to make a change.  I don't feel that Jen is about a position, she is about a cause!  I guess my question back to that person is, "why wouldn't you vote for Jen?"
