The Traveling Gourmet Will

Stop At Booth Library

Norma Chang, “The Traveling Gourmet,” will be presenting a “Chinese Soups for Fall” demonstration at C.H. Booth Library at 7 pm on Tuesday, November 9.

Participants will learn some authentic crowd-pleasing recipes that will help keep them and friends and family warm during upcoming months. Weaving timesaving tips and helpful hints into her presentation, Norma Chang enthusiastically demystifies Chinese cooking for her audience and introduces participants to practical and easy to prepare recipes with an emphasis on low-fat, high flavor, and nutrition. Participants will be able to sample all of the dishes prepared during the session.

Ms Chang is a food lover who enjoys sharing her skills and ideas with others through many food related activities. She is also a master gardener, specializing in Asian vegetables and the author of two cookbooks, including Wokking Your Way to Low-Fat Cooking.

Ms Chang believes that cooking should be fun.

“The food you prepare and eat should not only be good for you, but should also look and taste good too,” she says.

The cooking demonstration is free but reservations are required as class size is limited to 40 participants.

Call the library at 426-4533 for additional information or reservations.
