– Boys U8 –

Wolverines 6, Goldenhawks 2 – Gentian Liman scored goals and Charlie Poarch added two to lead the Wolverines. Adam Hufziger also scored as Liam McNichols played good defense and Luke Mammen did a great job as keeper. John Carlton and Scott Kelley scored a goal apiece to lead the ‘Hawks. Akshay Delity did a great job at midfield and Matthew Maturo played well on offense.

Tigers 5, Huskies 1 – Philip Healy registered the hat trick to lead the Tigers. Kaj Djonne and Jonah Muniz each scored a goal and Nicholas Nelson played great defense. For the Huskies, Stephen Walsh scored the goal and Jared Brady, Alex Gerbo and Michael Parker hustled all game.

Dragons 2, Bulldogs 1 – Alec Beauchemin had two goals to lead the Dragons to the win. Kevin Ovendorf was great in goal while Sean MacMullen played well on defense and Brandon Rodriguez played well on offense. For the ‘Dogs, Clay Gattey scored as Will Swain and Knute Johnson played well on defense and Christian Madaus and Ryan McFarland played great all around.

Gators 3, Werewolves 0 – Zachary Pollock, Will Dalton and Brenton Scott each scored a goal to lead the Gators. Patrick Berger played awesome defense. For the Werewolves, Matt Hess, Mike Lally, Zach Weiland and Matt Wood played excellent offense and defense.

– Girls U8 –

Shockers 3, Thunderbolts 1 – Elizabeth Helmig scored two goals and Kate Fallon scored one to lead the Shockers to the win. Tess Stofko played great defense along with Catherine McHugh. For the ‘Bolts, Jenny Indelicato scored the only goal. Michelle Zarifis also played well on offense as Danielle Shine and Olivia Sergiovanni played great defense.

Huskies 3, Cheetahs 0 – Tess Murray scored two goals and Emily Riley scored one to power the Huskies. Sarah Craig and Aileen Sheluck played great on defense. For the Cheetahs, Aimee Alexander and Jessica Coughlin played a great game on offense with terrific support from Hannah Schneiderman on defense and Makenzie Casey as goalie.

Panthers 3, Strikers 1 – Sophie Johnston scored two goals and Amy Martinelli scored one to lead the Panthers to the win, Emily Campbell was awesome on offense and Casey Flynn was dominant on defense. For the Strikers, Dale Shearin scored the goal. Helene Sorensen and Madeline Fletcher were great on offense and Mary Kate Sandler played a strong defensive game.

Ball Hogs 2, Huskies 0 – Sarah Lynch scored a goal for the Ball Hogs and also played great in goal. Anna Northrop scored the other goal and Taylor Zingaro also played very well. Madeline Hintzen and Caroline Tanner had a very good game as well. Portia Bordisch played great offense for the Huskies while Jenna Calandro played very well on defense.

Shooting Stars 1, Cheetah Champions 0 – Brooke Newton scored the only goal to lift the Shooting Stars to a win. Meg Korchman, Meaghan Brophy and Jamison Fletcher all played awesome games. Kimberly Brello was great on offense for the Cheetah’s and Gabrielle DeBartolomeo, Christina DeBartolomeo, Alexis Rodriguez played strong on defense.

Panthers 3, Cheetahs 0 – Angela Halilli and Emily Pierretti led the offense for the Panthers who played their best game of the season. Taylor Lafave and Sophia Devivo played very solid defensively. The Cheetahs enjoyed stellar goaltending from Hannah Schneiderman. Makenzie Casey was strong on offense and Jessica Coughlin played a terrific defensive game.

– Boys U10 –

Eagles 4, Wolverines 2 – Tyler Ruefenacht scored the go ahead goal for the Eagles with Nathan Norwich, Philip Lyon and Sam Pliszka playing solid defense for the win. Brandon Marks scored for the Wolverines with an assist from Trevor Carey, good hustle from Frankie Biancardi and Joseph Van Veen was great in goal.

Wildfire 3, All Stars 1 – Francis Afriyie scored the first goal and Chris Arnone scored a pair to take team Wildfire to victory. Colin Dutt and Kieran Basu were strong in midfield while Alec Lockhart was effective in defense. Christian Barrett scored for the All Stars, while Nicholas Shannon, Walker Mansfield and Taylor Rutter all played well in midfield.

Wildfire 2, Mud Monkeys 0 – Stefan Dullinger scored two goals to lift the ‘Fire to the win. Francis Afriyie at midfield, Peter Kerns at fullback and Kevin Dennis in the goal sparked the D. For the Monkeys , Gavin Scallon and Ricky Fuentes supplied the second half pressure and Niles Wilson was strong at midfield. Matt Ryan anchored a tough D.

– Girls U10 –

Crusaders 0, Metrostars 0 – The Crusaders and Metrostars battled to the finish ending with a 0-0 draw. The Crusader’s Emily Albrecht, Allison Blume and Katie Shirley played well while Marysa Audet was outstanding in defense. The Metrostar’s Jane Sclafani and Alexis Black played well in offense. Michaela Beaudry played well in defense and Sidney Hutchinson was great in goal.

Mighty Tigers 2, Firekickers 0 – Taylor Brady scored both goals for the Tigers. Sydney Hansen and Lillia McEnaney were good in the goal, and Danielle Capozziello played well on offense. For the Firekickers, Kristen DeGirolamo and Sarah Read played great on offense as Libby DiDomizio and Julliana Ciamarra played great on defense.

Fireballs 2, Jawbreakers 0 – Stefanie Clavette and Hannah Maret each scored for the Fireballs in the win. Tami Corsi had an assist and Courtney Campbell played well in goal. For the ‘Breakers, Katie Burns, Alexandra Duris and Claire Miles played well while Sarah Stofko and Madeline Dorso had strong games in goal.

– Girls U14 –

Rip Tide 4, Huskies 0 – Rachel Taback scored twice for the Rip Tide with additional goals by Alanna Gilbert and Lindsey Laub. Danielle Villa played great offense. For the Huskies, Alexandria Grant and Katherine Donahue did a great job in goal. Sarah McMahon played well on defense and Isabel Gleason had a great game.

Pink Ladies 2, Turkeys 1 – Meghan Bridges and Kaley Kruger scored to lead the Ladies to the win. Amanda Sweat, Emily Rowe and Kyra Smith played outstanding games. For the Turkeys, Tori Boushell played well on defense and Meredith Letso played good on offense. Rachel Cox and Alex Scarpa had fine performances.

Pink Ladies 3, Mud Monkeys 0 –

Meghan Bridges, Stephanie Jarvis and Lauren Hutchison scored the goals that lifted the Ladies to the win. Michelle Haitz had an outstanding game. For the Mud Monkeys, Katlin Connolly, Emily Flores and Samantha Dinnan played excellent games.

Rapids 2, Mud Monkeys 0 – Emily Audet and Courtney Berko each scored a goal to lead the Rapids over Monkeys. Lesley Blume and Meredith LaPerch also had strong games for the Rapids, while the Monkeys strong defense in second half came from Emily Floros, Bianca LeBlanc and Lauren Faeth.

– Boys U14 –

Danbury 1, Pink Woodchucks 0 – Timmy Lacouture, Tom Capozziello and Joshua Gilbert played well on offense for the Woodchucks. Brandon Bennett, Kevin Read and Kevin Dill played well at mid-field.

Pink Woodchucks 5, Blue Monkeys 2 – Ryan DiLuoffo, Steven Jaroszewski and Brian Grimes each scored once for the Woodchucks while Dan Kowarick added two to pace the Woodchucks. For the Blue Monkeys, Stephen Forgione scored twice while Nathaniel Burns and Brendan O’Connell played well in goal and Matt Hodge had a strong game.

TRAVEL

– Girls U10 –

Flash 1, Southbury 1 – Brittany Tolla scored the lone Newtown goal in this tie. Christi Engler was solid on offense as Bridget Powers recorded the assist. Tressa Scott, Morgan Kirol and Julia Trudell paced the defense..

– Boys U10 –

Cobras 2, Watertown 2 – Matt Rahtelli and Sean Elliot shared goalie duty and played tough to lead the Cobras. Pieter Martino had a great game on defense with many, many stops and tackles. Stephen Conway scored the first goal off of a rebound of a Connor Quinn shot, while Quinn scored the second goal.

Cobras 3, Watertown 0 – Connor Quinn scoring a hat trick to power the Cobras. Chris Erikson and Matt Rahtelli were strong in net and shared the shutout. Pieter Martino and Noah Sock played tough defense, while Andrew Kelley and Francis Saraceni led the midfield attack.

Cobras 6, Watertown 2 – Danny Bittman scored two goals assisted on two others to lead the Cobras. Connor Quinn had two goals and Stephen Conway and Christian Mather added one a piece. Andrew Kelley, Sean Elliott and Chris Erikson also had assists.

– Boys U11 –

Crusaders 2, Darien 1 (State Cup) – Conrad Normann and John Imbimbo scored the goals with offensive support from Ryan Dunnigan and Sean Burson. Travis LeBlanc and Dan Gallagher were tough in the midfield as the Crusaders advanced to the semifinals.

Crusaders 6, Torrington 0 – John Imbimbo scored two goals and Conrad Normann, Travis LeBlanc, Jason Marks and Greg Campbell each scored one to lead the Crusaders. Chris McGowen and Justin Brophy kept the pressure on in offense.

– Girls U11 –

Power 4, New Milford 0 – Meaghan Carney and Katherine Scott each had two goals to lead the Power. Nicole Davis, Jessica Jowdy and Ale Fuentes had assists. Kendall Svanda and Christina Caporale earned the shutout at goal.

– Girls U12 –

Roadrunners 3, Brookfield 0 – Casey Rutter scored a pair of goals and goaltender Shannon Paproski nailed down the shutout to lead the Roadrunners to the win. Kaitlin Brophy scored a goal off an assist from Kristen Stoller. Ali Pliszka, Kelly O’Conner and KellyAnne Brophy sparkled on defense.

– Boys U12 –

Westport 5, Strikers 3 (State Cup) – Dan Lynch, Kyle Moore and Eric Thornberg scored the goals, but Westport defeated Newtown in the quarterfinals of the State Cup. Daniel Hufziger and Kyle Wildman helped power the offense. Max Brazo and Tony Vacaro were strong on D.

Strikers 7, Berkshire United 0 – Dan Lynch notched a hat trick while Kyle Moore scored a pair of goals to lead the Strikers. Josh Engler and Aaron Nezvesky also scored. Moore, Eric Thornberg, Lynch, Tony Vacaro, Ryan Pasko and Ishan Tatake all provided assists.

– Boys U13 –

Southbury 3, Newtown 2 – Casey Tenney scored a goal with an assist from Danny Clement and Matt Baier scored off a corner kick, but Newtown fell. Ben Mahony and Eric Keogler lead the defense while Xhulio Halili played a very strong game in goal making a few key saves.

– Girls U14 –

West Haven 3, Hurricanes 0 (State Cup) – A beautiful volley put West Haven up 1-0 at half and forced the Hurricanes to press for the equalizer in the second half. It was not meant to be as West Haven scored on a breakaway and a deflection to end the Hurricanes state cup run in the quarterfinals.

Hurricanes 2, Torrington 0 – Kasey Schulz scored twice to secure the victory for the Hurricanes. Goalie Emily Kluga was never tested as the Hurricanes totally dominated play thanks to fine play by midfielders Emily Weber and Haley Keane. Sarah Feinstein and Adelle Cerrata contributed assists.
