Chamber Plans Destination Newtown On Nov. 10

The Chamber of Commerce of Newtown is planning to host Destination Newtown, a business exposition showcasing local business products and services, on Wednesday, November 10, from 4 to 8 pm, at the Fireside Inn. Admission is free; the public is invited to attend.

There will be a business expo; sampling of food from Newtown restaurants; informative miniworkshops; door prizes, including a DVD player and wireless network package, gift certificates, and free professional services.

Workshop presenters include Anne Ragusa, who will give tips on how to maintain a LLC or corporation. Alan Clavette will help business owners understand the differences between contractors and employees. Matt Cuomo will share the fundamentals of retirement planning. Pat Linnell will give even the most disorganized tips on dealing with the time challenge.

The landmark event includes chamber members from many categories of commerce including accounting, financial services and investing, insurance, mortgage consulting, computers and the Internet, printing and publishing, advertising and marketing, interior design, day care centers, day spas, and others.
