A Visit From McGruff

The national McGruff Safe Kids Program seeks to educate students from prekindergarten through eighth grade about important safety issues, particularly within the context of today’s hectic modern world.

A licensed and trained representative, John DiTaranto, introduced McGruff to students at St Rose Parochial School on October 19 and 20. On the first day, students in prekindergarten through fourth grade interact with McGruff and watched a 15-minute video, Dangerous Strangers. On October 20, students in grades 5 through 8 watched a 15-minute video, McGruff’s Bully Alert. Students were also fingerprinted and had laminated photo IDs made.
