'Howl-O-Ween' Canine Costume Party This Saturday

“Howl-o-ween,” a canine costume party to benefit the Friends of Newtown Park and Bark, Newtown’s off-leash dog park, will be held Saturday, October 31, from 11 am to 1 pm, at the park, 21 Old Farm Road in Newtown.

A costume contest will kick off at 11:45 am. Prizes will be awarded for most original costume, scariest costume, funniest costume, dog and owner look-alike. There will also be a Voter’s Choice Best in Show honor.

This fun family event is sponsored by Newtown Parks and Recreation.

Games, such as monster mash, body part toss, tower of terror, orange light/black light,  and a haystack treasure hunt will be held.

Mt Pleasant Animal Hospital will be doing toenail clipping for $5 per dog.

Admission is a $5 tax-deductible donation per dog.
