To the Editor:

I have known John Vouros since 1988. He is a community activist, one who invests his energy daily on what is best for our town and our schools. He cares deeply about public education, families, and challenging all students to achieve at high levels

In these days of excessive standardized, high stakes testing, we all need to remember how important innovation and creativity are for our children’s future. Our graduates will have to know how to identify and solve problems using critical and creative thinking, ideals John has believed in for decades.

John Vouros will be a strong advocate for children, in Newtown and beyond. Our kids need him on the Board of Education.
