To the Editor:

We would like to commend for election an outstanding public servant who has proved her worth many times over during the last years. She has served on both the Board of Education and the Legislative Council, extending her sound educational and financial advice to the many serious situations that confront those groups. Her engineering degree from the University of Connecticut speaks to her ability to actually understand figures and she uses them so that the taxpayer and the town’s people are well served.

 Kathy Fetchick grew up in Newtown and attended our schools. She and her husband, Jeff, moved back to town to raise their children, presently in school, because she loves the town and works tirelessly to make Newtown the very best it can be.
