Computer Theft

Sometime between 9:30 pm on October 20, and 8:45 am on October 21, someone broke a passenger-side window on a vehicle parked in a residential driveway on Lafayette Trail and then stole a laptop computer from within the vehicle, police said.

Lafayette Trail is a dead-end street off Tamarack Road, near Upper Paugussett State Forest.

The value of the theft and vehicle damage is estimated at $1,650. Police are investigating and ask anyone with knowledge of the crime to contact Officer William Hull at police station, 3 Main Street, at 203-426-5841 or via e-mail at william.hull@newtown-ct.gov.
