WAA Call To Artists & Craftspersons

 WASHINGTON DEPOT — The Washington Art Association is looking for artists and craftspeople to submit work for its annual Holiday Gift Sale. The annual event is presented in WAA’s Gallery, in Bryant Plaza on Route 47.

Receiving days will be Thursday, November 17, through Saturday, November 19, between 10 am and to 4 pm each day.

Entry fee for non-members is $20. Also, the gallery will retain a 30 percent commission on all sales.

The event will run daily between November 25 and December 24. Hours will be Monday through Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm; and Sunday, noon to 5 pm.

The sale features contemporary and traditional original fine art and crafts. All work must be created by the exhibitor or under the artist’s direct supervision with the use of appropriate tools, showing imagination and the mark of the artist’s individuality.

Whether one-of-a kind or limited editions, all work should be expertly executed without technical faults. Hand-crafted items, paintings, sculpture, cards, calendars, photographs, and prints will be accepted.

WAA will not accept manufactured items, imported crafts, work from kits, or any items made with plastic or silk floral elements. No portfolios are accepted.
