P&Z Approves Two-Lot Resubdivision For Hattertown Road
Planning and Zoning Commission (P&Z) members have approved a two-lot residential resubdivision for land on Hattertown Road, near the Monroe town line.
At an October 20 session, P&Z members approved developer Raffie Aryehâs proposal for Newtown Heights â Parcel B on 10.12 acres at 226 Hattertown Road. The site lies on rugged land. The property is in a FR-2 zone within which the minimum building lot size is two acres.
In recent weeks, nearby property owners have expressed concerns about hazardous motorist sight lines posed by such development.
In approving the project, P&Z members decided that the developer must post a $105,000 performance bond to ensure the completion of a common driveway that would serve both building lots on the site.
Also, P&Z members instructed the developer to provide create suitable motorist sight lines as recommended by the town engineer.
