Organ Dedication Concert, Food Event, Sunday At Christ Church

ROXBURY — Four organists will participate in a special recital and Evensong dedication of the new Rogers digital/pipe combination organ which has been installed at Christ Church in Roxbury.

The organ recital will take place at 4 pm on Saturday, October 29, at the church, located at Weller’s Bridge Road and South Street in Roxbury. The organists will be performing are Jack Rowland, Beverly Hall, Ron Dukenski, and Fawn Segerson. An offering at the dedication will benefit the Organ Fund.

The recital will be followed at 5:30 pm by the second annual “Taste of Christ Church,” a gourmet food and wine-tasting extravaganza featuring all Australian food and wine. Parish cooks have perfected five courses of delicious Aussie fare which will be paired with five different wines from Down Under, each especially chosen to complement each dish.

The event drew a capacity crowd last year.

Tickets cost $30 per person and all proceeds will benefit the parish budget. The dinner will take place in the church’s parish house.
