Melissa Jean Muldoon and Jeffrey Robert Thorpe

Mr and Mrs Gary Muldoon of West Hartford announce the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Jean, to Jeffrey Robert Thorpe, son of Mr and Mrs William Thorpe of Farmington.

Ms Muldoon graduated from Conard High School in West Hartford in 1998 and received her bachelor of science and her master’s in elementary education from the University of Connecticut. She is a fourth grade teacher at Hawley Elementary School in Newtown.

Mr Thorpe graduated in 1998 from Farmington High School in Farmington and earned a bachelor of science in landscape architecture from the University of Connecticut. He is the owner and operator of Thorpe Landscaping and Design, LLC.

A July 29 wedding is planned.
