Letters Of Endorsement

To the Editor:

 I am writing today to endorse candidate Jeff Capeci for Legislative Council. I wholeheartedly share Jeff’s values in preserving the town that we have called home for the last eight years or so.

I am a resident of Sandy Hook for the past eight years, and I met Jeff’s wife, Tanya, almost seven years ago at a La Leche League meeting when our sons were barley 3 months old. I was urged to write to tell my fellow residents that Jeff Capeci is a highly qualified individual for the position of Legislative Council because of his care and concern for his friends and neighbors and his sincere concern for the future of Newtown.

Jeff is a gentleman, always willing and able to help and lend a hand in a very selfless manner. Jeff is a great listener and is able to give helpful advice. He has a solid character and is a loving father to his two children. A true outdoorsman, Jeff has instilled a true love of nature in his children.

I share Jeff’s values and hope that, if elected, Jeff will work to preserve the natural beauty of our town by monitoring mass development that drives up taxes and financially stresses the single-income family. I have shared the Capeci family tradition of dad working and mom staying home to raise the children, as this is always in the best interest of the child. Our children are the future, and no one can shape them and nurture them like the presence and strength of a mom. This issue is at the heart and soul of so many mothers that I know in Newtown. But, if we allow further development, the tax increases will force many mothers back into the work force, many of which will enter reluctantly.

Vote for Jeff Capeci on November 8 and help him to preserve the Newtown that we have grown to love.
