Edward J. Nawrocki

Longtime Guidance Counselor in Norwalk

Edward J. Nawrocki, 75, of Walker Hill Road, Sandy Hook, died unexpectedly October 26. Mr Nawrocki was the husband of the late Ferne (Tandy) Nawrocki.

He was born in Meriden on October 19, 1930, a son of Michael and Josephine Nawrocki. Mr Nawrocki served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was a graduate of Southern Connecticut Columbia Teachers College and a longtime guidance counselor in the Norwalk public school system until his retirement in 1995. A resident of Newtown since 1976, he was a member of the American Legion, Post 202.

Mr Nawrocki is survived by three sons, Michael Nawrocki and his wife, Elizabeth, and their daughter, Julia, of Hamden, Kris Nawrocki of Stamford, and Erick Nawrocki of New York City; two daughters, Michelle E. Nawrocki of Quincy, Mass., and Amy M. Nawrocki of Bridgeport; two sisters Frances Forcier of San Diego, Calif., and Jeanette Harris of Palo Alto, Calif.

Friends may call at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, Friday, October 28, from 5 to 8 pm. Private burial will be in St Stanislaw Cemetery, Meriden.
