Mr Minor’s enthusiasm for Mr London’s classic book is apparent in his exquisite paintings. He did an enormous amount of research to capture perfectly the author’s sense of time and place, and was able to draw upon his own experiences in the Alaskan Wilderness to inform his art.

Bill Rice is a self-taught artist who at a very early age became fascinated by the outdoors, especially with birds and animals. Mr Rice has won numerous awards for his sculpture including three Best in Show honors at the New England Wild Life Exposition, Best in Show at the US National Decoy Show on Long Island, and myriad first place wins at the Ward Foundation World Championships in Ocean City, Md. Mr Rice is represented in many public and private collections all over the world.

Michael Torlen will be exhibiting watercolors and oils from his studies as an artist-in-residence at Weir Farm in Wilton, and also monotypes and monoprints from further studies with master printer James Reed at the CT Graphic Arts Center in Norwalk.

Mr Torlen has been making monoprints for the past ten years. He is a latter-day romantic who successfully brings a fresh point of view to traditional subjects without any of the desperate recycling so typical of many contemporary landscapes.
