To the Editor:

Election Day is Tuesday, November 7 and I will be casting my vote for a highly-qualified, diverse candidate slate, the Democratic Candidates in Row A.

*Democrats have demonstrated their commitment to and focus on the needs of Newtown, including our schools, our security, our streets and infrastructure and smart development. They recognize what’s important to Newtown and will prioritize the town’s needs.

*Specific to our schools, the Democratic BOE candidates have demonstrated a commitment to serving the needs of our entire school community and will serve as rational, experienced and inclusive board members.

*The entire slate of candidates brings important experience to the boards they are running to be a part of. Their desire to hold these roles stems from a deep-seeded belief in our community and a desire to serve.

*Democrats work collaboratively to solve problems. They have shown they can and will work in a bipartisan way, valuing different opinions and engaging in constructive dialogue. They serve all of Newtown, not just the people who vote for them.
