It’s a rare and valuable benefit to have a nationally respected traffic scientist serving on our Police Commission, Newtown’s traffic authority. Neil Chaudhary has provided this benefit for the past 4 years as a member of our Police Commission and we need to re-elect him to keep his expertise in place for Newtown.

Neil’s top concern on the Police Commission has always been speeding, a shared concern among most residents here in Newtown. And whenever residents bring their own traffic concerns to the commission, Neil always drives out to the area himself to witness the specific issue first-hand. He is Newtown’s own hands-on, dedicated, traffic expert.

Neil’s dedication to Newtown spans well over a decade, evident in his extensive involvement in our community. He has held elected and appointed positions on the Legislative Council (including two years as vice-chair), Newtown Community Emergency Response Team, Newtown Public Safety Committee, Newtown Tick-Borne Disease Action Committee, and Fairfield Hills Master Plan Review Committee, among others.

We are fortunate to have someone with Neil’s caliber and experience contributing to our town. Let us fully appreciate his dedication by voting for him on November 7 for Police Commission.
