Rosina Praino, 97, of Newtown, died October 23 in Saint John Paul II Center, Danbury. She was the wife of the late Aurturo Praino. She was born in Frascineto, Italy, November 23, 1917, a daughter of Maria and Marcurio Pace.

Mrs Praino immigrated to the United States in 1955 and was a resident of Corona, Queens, N.Y. She had lived in Newtown since 2000.

She was a seamstress for the Garment Workers Union until she retired.

Survivors include a son, Joseph Praino of Newtown; two daughters, Maryann Fasanella of Naples, Fla., and Mariella Mazzella of Boynton Beach, Fla.; two brothers, Tony Pace of Almond, Fla., and Salvatore Pace of Italy; a sister, Jane Lombardi of Long Island, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St Rose of Lima Church, October 26. Entombment was at St Mary Cemetery, Greenwich.
