President Obama stood before the American people four years ago with plenty of hope, change and lofty promises. Four years later, middle class incomes have gone down significantly while gas prices have doubled and food prices are soaring. Our national debt doubled to over $16 trillion and unemployment has never gone down from over eight percent. Our college graduates cannot find jobs, and when they do, itâs not in their field of study.
This so-called ârecoveryâ has produced a snail-like 1.2 percent GDP. Newly created jobs are at status-quo levels and arenât even keeping up with population growth. People are not hopeful, scared for the future and if you have children, we are concerned that we have hijacked their economic prosperity for this administrationâs selfish, short-sighted bail outs and excessive, out of control spending. This President has some very questionable actions that many are very upset about, especially Catholics with forcing their institutions and insurance companies to pay for contraception. In Libya, itâs looking like a cover-up of what happened in Benghazi.
Our country has big problems and this President thought he had the election in his back pocket. He was so confident that he was going to win another term, he told a Russian leader that heâd have more flexibility after the election. He was so confident, he hasnât even come up with a second term agenda! Then came the debate, and he found himself faced with a passionate and determined man that the country has now deemed as an acceptable alternative to him.
I was quite frankly offended that the President did not come prepared to that debate. He showed me and many others that he just didnât care enough to be prepared, he didnât care enough about my family, your family, my children and your children to bother. I noticed. I noticed Romney prepared and passionate. It was clear to me that this man wants to fix this country and he knows exactly how to do it. Now two weeks before the election and a dead heat, President Obama has finally come alive and come up with his next term agenda. I guess he figured he needs to fight now that his political career may be over. Sorry Mr. President, too little...too late.
