To the Editor:

For several years now, I’ve listened to our local and state elected leaders speak about their goals while in office. I, along with so many residents, have felt the impact of the decisions they have made along with the impact of the decisions they have not made. Specifically, the continuation of the inability to confront our financial problems at the state level.

These actions or inactions depending on your point of view have hit us directly in our wallets leaving us with less money, which will probably continue and actually get worse. Fortunately, I see headway being made at the local level here in Newtown with our elected leaders making an effort to better hold the line and look at creative ways to address our current issues. There is still work to be done, but we are moving towards our goals and Mitch Bolinsky has been part of that movement.

Currently, Hartford is filled with like-minded party members that are heading in the same direction that has put Connecticut in the tough spot it is currently in. We all need to consider whether we want more of the same in Hartford, or a change in direction that will better serve all Connecticut residents. I believe Mitch Bolinsky will work to change the direction in Hartford. Please join me in supporting Mitch Bolinsky on November 6.
